Measure generation, consumption, and export in all four quadrants. The Algodue UPM209 meters import and export separately, and the MFC150/F Rogowski kit retrofits export metering to Fronius, SolarEdge and Sungrow inverters — numbers you can use to monitor performance and check a retailer’s or installer’s figures. None of these instruments hold NMI pattern approval, so they are not for trade settlement or billing.

Without export metering you can point to, PPA settlements and feed-in claims come down to estimates and disputes.
Net-only readings can't separate what the array produced from what the site drew — so performance reporting stays fuzzy.
Existing switchboards rarely leave room to break conductors for a meter install.
